RASCAL wants class participants to enjoy their learning experience while taking classes.
Classes are developed and presented within specific time allotments. This is done to make
the best use of allotted classroom space and time. Class sessions and schedules have also
been designed to minimize the impact on the participant's personal schedule or other
activities. We simply ask participants to arrive prepared to participate and with supplies as
may be listed in the class description. There are no grades or tests. There is only the
experience of learning.
Due to the limited amount of class time available to present the main class topic material
it is not reasonable for students without basic computer skills or other prerequisite classes
or experience to expect review or assistance with those skills from the class instructor.
Arriving unprepared is discourteous to the instructor and unfair to other participants who
came prepared to learn.
Classes beyond Level One have Prerequisites for attending class. Instructors expect
participants to be prepared and to have the appropriate level of skill and knowledge prior to
class enrollment.
All classes provide basic training guides in the form of class handouts or downloadable
training materials. Many classes recommend participants bring a USB Flash Drive for
downloading training materials and/or saving class assignments or projects.
