The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Rogue Area Senior Computer Assistance League was held on September 15, 2009 at the Josephine County Fairgrounds Floral Building, Grants Pass, Oregon. The following board members were present: President Ron Willing, Secretary Velma Gustafson, and Treasurer Naomi Carlson. Members present were: Vivian Dagnan, Jeannette Daily, Laura Dunwald, Shirley Byrd, Lannie Harkins, Audrey Williams, Betty Buskirk, Jane Frincke, and Arlie Smith. Secretary's Report: Velma Gustafson reported: The minutes of the August 2009 Board of Directors meeting were approved and placed on the RASCAL website. Treasurer's Report: Naomi Carlson reported: She finally received the invoices from Bulk Mail. We have $23,993.00 in the bank. We had very little activity last month, but we did pick up membership income of $355.00. Membership Director's Report: Maggie Robson was not present. Education Director's Report: Judy Engel is in Europe. Communications Director's Report: Galen Garretson not present. Vice President's Report: Bob Booth not present. President's Report: Ron Willing has no report. Social Director's Report: Jeannette Daily reported: We have a total list of 82 volunteers. The business meeting outline was discussed. Jane Frincke volunteered to update the outline and mail it to us in September. A list of three menus for our Christmas luncheon at Wild River was distributed. The price per person will be $15.95 which includes two of the three menus. The board will vote to pay part of this cost for each menu when enough board members are present to vote. The membership will vote on which menu they prefer at our next general meeting. New Business We could not get on line this morning at our general meeting and it was believed that this was caused by a workman at the fairgrounds. The fair will be asked to have our connection checked by the work crew the next time they do a project to insure our connection is intact. Vivian Dagnan stated that Faye Babb will no longer be doing the obits. Shirley Byrd will get a volunteer to take this position. The meeting was adjourned at 11:48 a.m.
