Velma will go to Evergreen bank to get Arlie signed on for checking account privileges. We have a total of $23,040.00 in all of our accounts. Everything looks so much better than last year. Our kitchen is up, our membership is up. Fantastic.

Naomi asked if we can put our donuts on sale at meetings when Safeway offers them on sale to benefit our members. All agreed. She filed with the IRS this year. We do not have to worry as we don't make over $25,000.00 gross profit, as a non-profit organization in one year.;

She also asked if we could put approximately $30.00 into a loss, as this was kitchen monies that had been stolen in a home robbery. The board agreed.

Membership Director's Report: Maggie Robson was not present.

Judy Engel read the membership report We have 755 member households as of May 31st. 913 individual RASCAL members. We welcomed 16 new members and renewed 35 members during the month.

Lou Garrotto has agreed to take this position next year. She will stay on as teacher scheduler and schedule the classes. Lou will be the board member and vote. She will work in the background.

Bill needed to put out a news flash and Mac and Wally were both out, not available. Galen did not know how to do it. Galen will be put on the list as backup after Wally. He will get hands on instructions.

Vice President's Report: Bob Booth stated:

We have not yet reconciled the list of people on the list serve to insure the roster includes only members in good standing. Smart Wire has been very busy. He and Galen are attempting to resolve this issue.

President's Report: Ron Willing reported:

Talked about the Senior Fair, June 20th from nine to six at RCC campus. We need to get sign up help for this. We will have a couple of PC's there with internet access, and a presentation about the club. He has tri folds and flyers. He will bring tables and chairs. A free spaghetti dinner, raffle, and prizes will be held. It was promoted this year and some good groups will be there. He will ask for volunteers to attend this event at our next general meeting.

New Business

Member Shirley Byrd talked about the class call up project, a volunteer calling members to remind them the date of the class they have signed up for. It's working great.

Member Laura Dunwald asked about the Scholarship fund promoted in a five hundred dollar amount by RASCAL. Laura donated funds for this in 2006. It is on the college books. It will be called the Laura Dunwald RASCALComputer Science Scholarship. This will go towards a computer science degree.

We want this donated to a person in the upper 30% of their class, and financial need. This was voted on. All agreed. Ron will call them.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 p.m.

Respectfully submitted
Velma Gustafson, Secretary
